Let's not forget basketball. The ladies did not win, but they played very well, unlike Men basketball, hockey, and football. But to be fair, Miami won Men swimming, and baseball is doing quite well

Also remember that in MAC rankings Miami football went 6-2 and that was probably considered as good as womens basketball

I expect we will look pretty, pretty good in the Jacoby Trophy standings.

Should our spring teams continue to perform well and stay at or near the top of the standings this could well be the very first year in school history that Miami wins BOTH the Jacoby and the Reese awards. And if we don't find ourselves #1 and #1, we'd be very happy to be #2 and #2... still dominant in our league. So yes, it's been a very good year for Miami athletics.

So why doesn’t it feel that way?

Because football and basketball hasn't finished above .500 each season for almost a decade now? Not to mention hockey, which has gone a few years now towards the bottom of the NCHC. Not that difficult.
