We're an almost average MAC team. We beat the bad teams. We get beat by the good teams. Defensive effort is slightly below average. Offensive decision making is below average. All signs point to an "ehh" team. The good news is, we aren't pathetic. The bad news is, we're pretty far from being great.
If we played really hard and smart consistently, I think we'd be good, not great. But inconsistent defensive effort and very inconsistent offensive decision-making makes us what we are. Almost average. -

Completely agree Bluesman. I met Jack and his staff after year #1. I was completely impressed with how down-to-earth, cohesive, and friendly the entire staff was. I felt the program was in great hands. With the young talent we had, I felt Miami hoops would be a force in a few years.
Not so much.
I hope I'm wrong, but I'd imagine we'll be a sub-500 team in MAC play once again; and will continue to be a team that appears to have no identity. I truly hope I'm wrong. I like rooting for good people. I don't enjoy screaming lunatics on the sideline. I think Jack and the staff are great people. I truly hope they turn it around. But I'm not counting on it.
