  • When is FB back on campus?

Lafayette tells Navy they won’t show up for their September 12 game in Annapolis. I believe this is the first FBS game cancellation.
Second at least. Colgate cancelled with WMU. The pioneer league is restricting all teams from flying so they're cancelling most FBS games.

But all athletes are being tested. The only people being tested in the 18-29 age bracket are suspected of having covid.

Anecdotal, but all of my friends and myself have been tested. Only my fiance and I had concerns of having it, everyone else is getting weekly testing and their employers and monitoring results to determine return-to-work plans.
That's interesting. I'm the exact opposite.

No kidding! But that also could be that I live in MT. I know 1 person who has actually been tested.
My employer has handled a good portion of the testing for the entire state. It's free for anyone with a doctor's recommendation. I'm not sure if it's also free if you just want to get tested, but testing without a recommendation started a week or two ago as well.

  • Coronavirus Thread

Just got result. Oh well. Negative. It only took one day. Supposedly 90%-95% accurate.
Honestly, I'm not sure folks should be excited if they have the antibodies. The receptors COVID-19 targets are mostly in the lungs, but they also exist in the heart, kidney, liver, and testies. There have been some strange cardiovascular events popping up in otherwise healthy young adults, post-recovery, that seem to indicate there's more than just the respiratory effects. I'm also wondering if we could see birth defects or other complications as time goes on with the targetted receptors on sex organs.

  • The College Athletics Dominoes are starting to fall

Akron has been in trouble for a while!

I've seen predictions Kent will absorb Akron and turn it into a satellite campus. I've also heard Cleveland State will. I wonder if the MAC has a contingency to replace them if needed. I'm sure they do, but I wonder who it might be. Bring back the Marshall rumors!
