People are crazy. Do they know how we've been against non-mac competition in the last decade?

He should be fired for that take. We don't win games until October.

Same poll has Buffalo #47 and Ohio #52. NIU and WMU also ahead of Miami as is UC.

Athlon poll is out and seems more realistic, and more grim. It has us ranked #105 and 3rd in the MAC East with a 4-8 (4-4) record. Athlon only projects three MAC teams to have winning records and three at 6-6 - with Ohio beating Toledo in the Championship.

If correct, that means we lose all OOC games....including Tenn Tech.

Athlon has Miami at 5-7. College Football News predicts a 6-6 record. Street & Smith's predicts a 4th place finish in the East , behind Kent.

I am still on the fence as to how they will do. Defense, from the last few games lost Duffin, Koenig and Calcagno as starters. Hampton, Maize and Lemon should all be back so only real starter loss is Koenig, a big loss though. Plus they pick up Rugamba and Boswell for more depth. On offense the QB is of course the question followed by left guard, but I think there is enough depth that should be ok. They didn’t have Gardner after game three and they had experience at TE and RB so there will be capable replacements. All of specialists are back. As others have said it most likely will all come down to QB, could be 8-4 just as easily as it could be 4-8.

Nank will be solid at LG.  I agree the question is who is behind center but #2 is who is catching the ball

Robinson needs to make the jump from freak athlete / red zone target, to a complete WR. Sorenson should be solid in the slot. Wouldn't be surprised to see some of the freshman getting PT by the time early in the year.

Jalen Walker showed a lot of potential last season.

Athlon is, uh, not optimistic when it comes to our QB play.
