Sherwood v. Smith/Martinez in the West.

    Go...anyone but Montreal?

I guess the Avs weren't invincible.  Martinez had a good series, albeit with a couple mistakes.

Old man Andy Greene just survived a 3:00 shift. Not bad for 38!

    I REALLY miss Doc Emrick

    I REALLY miss Doc Emrick

Me too, though even if he hadn't retired wouldn't it be a moot point soon with the TV contracts changing next season?

I can’t say how the TV contracts work. I know Kenny Albert is going to the new Turner with the color commentator. Just Doc was so smooth and could fill in those great trivia quips during games. Say last night, Doc would have mentioned the 2 Miami players on both sides of the ice, almost 8 years apart. Kenny never mentioned little things like that

Kenny Albert is underwhelming, at best.  John Forslund is my #1 choice.

Tonight could be Andy Greene’s last NHL game. Plan your night accordingly. Go Isles!

Greene’s not done. After this post season, someone will step up and sign him

Greene with an assist last night. Coleman with a bad turnover.

Martinez with a bad turnover, and Martinez with the tying goal.

Martinez and Smith eliminated. Martinez’s shot almost beat Price to win it, but then 5 seconds later he didn’t back check quite hard enough to stop the winning goal.

The Habs are back in the finals after a long absence.  That was quite a game last night.  As Johnny Mac mentioned, hated to see our Miami boys go out, but Carey Price was very strong.

    Coleman moves on. Greene eliminated.

I feel bad for Andy Greene because he won’t win the Cup this year. I hope he’s not done, but he was the last one in New York’s handshake line, and seemed to take some extra time with Cooper.
  • Professor_FateProfessor_Fate Wealthy Alum
Does Andy Greene know Cooper from somewhere? Or was it the “I’m a free agent, now.”

Alec Martinez played the entire playoffs with a broken foot.

Greene stated Sunday that he isn't considering retirement and would like to play again for the Islanders next season, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.

    Greene
is a favorite of both coach Barry Trotz and general manager Lou
Lamoriello. If he is once again willing to play for close to the minimum
veteran salary, then the Islanders, who are up against the salary cap,
may once again elect to bring him back for another campaign.

    happen with that game.

Congrats to Blake Coleman, back-to-back Cups for a Miamian. I haven’t done the research, but that has to be a first.

Martinez was 2 in 3 years but I believe you are right about first back to back.

Kucherov’s shirtless post game interview is freaking legendary.
