  • We suck.

Can anyone provide a logical and feasible scenario in which we gain any level of relevance in basketball in the next three years? I'm not asking sarcastically; I need to feel some hope.
Basketball can have a very quick turnaround with the right coach. The problem is finding the right coach.

  • 2020 Football Coaching Carousel

    Rounding up some other news:

South Alabama fired Steve Campbell and hired Indiana DC Kane Wommack, who previously coached at South Alabama himself.

Southern Miss hired Tulane OC Will Hall, who had previous success as a D-II head coach at West Alabama and West Georgia.

Utah State hired Blake Anderson away from Arkansas State.

  • The College Athletics Dominoes are starting to fall

Athletics bloodbath at UConn.  They're cutting women's rowing, men's tennis, men's XC, and men's swimming and diving, a total of 124 athletes.  15% spending cut across the board, to be largely paid through a huge cutback in non-conference travel.  Men's golf and men's track and field will see scholarship cuts, and the school will spend less on scholarships overall, converting a number of full scholarships to partials.

  • Name Change

It’s literally a rule of the board that the name change isn’t to be discussed. It has been since at least 1999. I should have shut it down earlier and didn’t, which was my fault.

  • Why collegiate senior athletes should seek an extra year of eligibility

Kendall Rogers of D1baseball.com is reporting that he’s heard one power conference is considering barring members from offering any scholarship money to players in their fifth year of eligibility next season.
